Rec Cheer Classes

Ages 4-10

This program is a great introduction to cheerleading for athletes who want to learn the basics in a fun and supportive environment.

Session Length: 6–8 weeks Learn to Cheer program

Practices: 1 hour per week

Focus: Building foundational cheer skills in a non-competitive setting

Includes a T-shirt

Athletes will learn the fundamentals of cheerleading, including:

Pre-stunting and Pyramid work, Tumbling basics, Jumps and motions, Dance and performance skills

At the last practice of the session, we will host an in-gym skills showcase

Novice Cheer

Ages 5-8

Our Novice Cheer program is ideal for athletes entering competitive cheerleading for the first time. This program is designed to help athletes build confidence, learn teamwork, and gain their first competitive cheer experience in a supportive environment.

This program focuses on developing foundational skills, including; Pre-stunting and pyramid work, tumbling, jumps and motions, dance and choreography.

The Novice season will be broken up into two sessions.

Session 1: September – December

Session 2: January – Early April

They will practice once a week for 1.5 hours. Athletes will learn and perform a 2-minute competition routine that introduces the core elements of All-Star cheerleading.

Prep Cheer

Ages 6-16

Prep Cheer is designed for athletes ready to commit to a higher level of competition while continuing to develop their cheerleading skills. Prep routines include many of the same elements as Novice teams; however, stunting and tumbling play a larger role in scoring, allowing athletes to continue developing their skills while competing in a more competitive environment.

Teams will practice twice per week for 1.5 hours each. Athletes will learn and perform a 2-minute competition routine.

Additional season requirements may include: Choreography camp at the beginning of the season and occasional additional practices for routine upgrades.

Tumbling is not required, but highly recommended.

Allstar Elite

Ages 7+

Elite teams are designed for athletes who are ready for a higher level of competition and commitment. They practice twice per week for approximately 2.5 hours each. They will do approximately 5–6 events between provinces (Alberta and Saskatchewan).

Season Commitment: Full season (approximately June – April)

These teams compete in highly competitive divisions and require athletes to demonstrate focus, commitment, and strong teamwork.
